We normally change hats three times when we help clients make investment decisions.
If you already have a clear idea of what you want, we're sometimes happy to skip the first two hats. But generally we prefer to avoid this... we think it's worthwhile checking that any investment decision fits well within a clients overall financial situation.

The three hats of our wealth management service...
1. The lifestyle planning hat. This part of the process is all about the big picture; your goals and aspirations. It's also about defining your major objectives. These could include "making sure I don't run out of money in retirement" or "what do I need to do now to stop work at age 55". We have a unique system to help clients get a handle on big picture questions. Click here if you'd like to know more about it.
2. The financial planning hat. We wear this hat when it's time to work out in general terms how to meet the big picture objectives, see the links on the left for more info on the types of things we might recommend. (We can also put this hat straight on if you want a straightforward solution to something simple).
3. The financial adviser hat. We put this hat on last, but it's still a very important part of the process. It involves helping you choose specific product/s from the many potential options that exist, to fit within the overall plan. We make it our business to be up to speed in this area. As independent financial advisers we have no allegiance to any providers and have access to the whole of the market.
Our wealth management service also includes regular reviews and we take the hassle out of things by arranging the investments on your behalf, monitoring them as necessary.
